VIDEOGRAPHY often focuses on capturing events or scenes straightforwardly—think streaming videos, family reunions, or basic event coverage—where the primary goal is to document with less emphasis on artistic control. Our approach is much more extensive!
CINEMATOGRAPHY, on the other hand, involves the deeper, more deliberate ARTISTIC APPROACH and VISUAL STORYTELLING, utilizing and prioritizing elements like light quality, lighting design, color theory, composition, dynamic camera movement, precise exposure controls, extremely high-quality audio, music, & sound, and other tools and techniques to evoke emotion, enhance the narrative, and tell a story.

Promotional Film
A short, cinematic video that takes a peek into the creative ways I can promote your product or service. The subject of this video was one of my own services – a studio portrait session of Brittany – where I used high quality video along with creative editing to make a promo to show how a routine event can be made to look unique and interesting. I took the video I made of Brittany posing for still photographs, and paired it with some B-Roll footage I took of sunlight bouncing on the floor of my bathroom, as the light was moving around because the wind was blowing the tree limbs around. I can use creative things like this to make your PROMO video awesome.
HALL OF FAME CEREMONY
Event Film for Museum
This film was produced for the Delta Music Museum and Arcade Theater in Ferriday, Louisiana. In celebration of the induction of music artist and songwriter Doug Duffey into the Museum’s Hall of Fame as their 30th inductee, the Museum asked me to create this video. It was shown during Duffey’s induction ceremony at the Theater on July 25, 2025. The music used is from Doug Duffey who granted permission to use it in the film. The Delta Music Museum & Arcade Theater are affiliated with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office. Production assistant and 2nd camera by Adam Chapman. Also, the Graphic Design of the opening Logo was by yours truly.
THE NUTCRACKER BALLET
Live Event Film Preview
This preview was prepared for the Natchez Ballet Academy’s performance of The Nutcracker. Mignon Lefevbre is the Academy Director. This remarkable ballet was written originally by E.T.A. Hoffman, and the music was composed by the famous Peter Ilyich Tchaikovski. We used three cameras to film this production, which was held at the Natchez City Auditorium. Thank you to Priester Byrne for stepping in as Production Sound Mixer and Camera Operator on B-Cam. The full production film was sold to parents and family on DVD. Millie Chapman served during the event as Customer Service representative and over DVD Sales.
WEDDING FILM
Amelia + Wil
A wonderful wedding filmed for Amelia and Wil (yes, that’s the correct spelliing of his name) on the grounds of beautiful and majestic antebellum Brandon Hall, just off of the Natchez Trace. Filming for the wedding included scenes of the venue, getting ready, the groomsmen and bridesmaids, the ceremony, group and family, and the wedding reception. Two Sony Cameras were used, mounted on monopods or hand-held with IBIS employed. Priester Byrne operated Camera 2. Sound was captured by utilizing three Tascam DR-10L recorders placed on the Bride, the Groom, and the Minister and using Lav Mics strategically placed and hidden.

Intro-Outro Real Estate Film
This video is a historic properties real estate video I created for Sotheby’s Realtor Douglas Adams. Antebellum Shields Town House (c. 1860) is a beautiful property located in downtown Natchez, Mississippi, in Adams County. I used 4K video at 30fps and rendered the video down to high-definition for viewing on YouTube. The music is licensed through my MusicBed subscription. I also used some SFX titles and templates that are specifically for my real estate imaging. I used Sony cameras for much of the interior work, and two pro level drones for all the exterior shots and several interior scenes. A motorized slider was also utilized as well as operating handheld.

Moving from photographic stills to motion cinematography is a leap into a whole other creative universe. The elements of sound (music, dialogue, and sound effects) are combined with moving pictures and storyline that makes for an extremely powerful medium for your message. Just one of the categories within those elements is that of smooth dynamic motion. Whether the movement is made with a jib, a slider, a dolly, a pan & tilt video tripod, a three-axis gimbal or a pro level drone, the key is knowing how and when to add that element to a movie short. A video created and produced for the owner of the WigWam antebellum home in Natchez, Mississippi (C. 1790). The grounds, back patio and garden, as well as significant portions of this beautiful home and property are being rented out for small to medium sized weddings, parties, and other gatherings. I used 4K video at 30fps and rendered the video down to high-definition for viewing on YouTube. The music is licensed through my MusicBed subscription. Cameras and Lenses: Sony & DJI. A Quick, Fun Behind-the-Scenes Look at Real Estate Filming: Real estate video is a lot of work, but a lot of fun too. Here’s a laugh at the contrast between the noise and chaos of Production filming (noisy, chaotic, turbulent)… and the serenity, calmness, and tranquility of the finished product! Featuring my Avata 2 Drone… (and behind the scenes: the Sony A7 that recorded the drone). A thank you to my nephew Adam who worked on this as a Production assistant and cameraman.

It’s just a fun little video short, set to music, and edited in a cinematic style that befits the mood and scene. I used a 3-axis gimbal and shot it for slow motion. As always, the music is fully licensed.

Drone Real Estate Film
This video is a historic properties real estate drone video I created for a realtor based in New Orleans. Antebellum Rosswood Plantation home (1857) is located near Lorman, Mississippi, in Jefferson County. I used 4K video at 24fps and rendered the video down to high-definition for viewing on YouTube. The music is fully licensed. I also used some SFX titles and templates that are specifically for real estate. My real estate video services include other versions, including full tours with the realtor walking through the home, or a shorter “Intro-Outro” video with the Realtor introducing the property & providing a closing. Both aerial video & land-based cameras are utilized with all manner of dynamic motion control equipment for a cinematic feel.

Historic / Local Culture Short
Antebellum Prospect Hill is an important historical property in Jefferson County, Mississippi. I filmed it using a couple of cameras and dynamic motion stabilization gear such as video tripods, a jib, and a slider. I’ve since added 3-axis gimbals, a motorized slider, and an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone). Used wisely and for the right scene, dynamic motion can be used in your video to make it more interesting and compelling. Prospect Hill has received a new roof to keep water from getting in it.

I filmed St Mary Basilica and let the footage tell its own story. While I was filming outside and on top of the steeple, a storm came blowing through, which made for some dramatic shots. St Mary is a minor Basilica in the Roman Catholic faith. It is located in beautiful, historic Natchez, Mississippi, and is considered the city’s crown jewel.

Storytelling can be done sometimes without words, although documentaries can be powerful as well. In this video, I simply wanted to convey the juxtapositional elements of antebellum Arlington’s majesty, with the sadness of its ruin. Set to licensed music, the movie short takes the viewer inside the ruin to glimpse the reality of its ever-deteriorating state. I can use my own creative talent and skills to tell the story you want to convey to your clients or audience. Film for St. Mary Basilica
This video was created for the Becoming Catholic Video Lesson Series for St. Mary Basilica Parish in Natchez. This purpose of this video was to provide an overview and description of their Video Lesson Series, which will encompass 26 or 27 total videos! It features a custom Intro that will be used in all of the Lesson videos, and on-location recordings of Fr. Aaron Williams and Ruth Powers that were made inside the Basilica’s nave. I can make your educational, promotional, or entertainment video one that is very high quality in both video and audio, and optimize it for SEO, YouTube, television, or any media needed.Â

Exterior Film of a Beautiful Home
This film was created for Christian Shane Properties realtor Jackie Montgomery, who needed cinematic video footage of the exterior of this beautiful home on historic Linton Avenue in Natchez. The footage was captured with an Avata 2 drone. I am licensed as a sUAS Pilot through FAA Part 107 to fly commercially. I used 4K video at 60fps and rendered the video down to hi-def for viewing on YouTube. This drone captures in 10bit color (extremely high-quality) and I use a log gamma curve for the best post-processing results. The music is licensed thru MusicBed. I used SFX titles that are specifically for my real estate imaging.
